Dutch wins Gold on 1500 metres. Marieke and sisters celebrating at Holland Heineken House
Check this video where Marieke was clearly visible and her sister Ingrid also around 1:24 min into the video… A dutch speed skater won the Gold medal in Richmond Olympic Oval. I was there and saw it with my own eyes!! I was standing right behind Erica Terpstra and Crown Prince Willem Alexander, Princess Mxe1xima and the youngest Princess who is currently 2 years old. Later on there was a big party at Holland Heineken House where I ended up after my busy day!

At about 2PM this Sunday we have seen all the excitement around Tuitert winning the 1500 meter track. Although we don’t have a HHH here in our little village Velserbroek, we are very glad wit the results the Dutch have until now!! Strangly enought people don’t go outside in orange clothes as they normally do with the European or World football games. But until now we enjoy being a bit closer to the Olympic games, and not in the least with this fantastic website!!

Well, The Dutch will leave some influence in Vancouver after the Olympics. With Ireen Wxfcst, winning gold on the 1500 m track, our little country might end up with the 10th place, not bad at all. But we still have a little week to go…….
